Netflix workout DVDs

I just started getting workout DVDs from Netflix. It's great. I thought I would throw this out there because many people seem hesitant to buy workout videos and are always asking for suggestions. Here's a way to try them out risk-free.

That's a great idea! Thanks! I can't tell you how many DVDs I have sitting around because I was disappointed in what I bought. And, because a Netflix DVD can be kept as long as I want, I can keep it until I'm able to find it locally or order it online. Cool. Thanks again.

that's the way i get my workout dvd's too. Plus i have a program on my computer where I can copy the dvd and burn them. So i rent them from netflicks, try them out and if i like them burn them to add to my collection. I love it!

don't know if it is legal, but people certainly do it all the time. it's kind of like speeding on the highway I think...

Yeah it's illegal; but the last poster is correct people do it all the time lol

As long as you aren't reselling them or distributing them you'll probably never get in trouble for it.

I guess I am showing my age, but copying copyrighted rented material is stealing, whether you get caught or not. I have a hard time drilling this into my children when they want to download and copy songs without paying-since all their friends do it they don't see the problem and think I am out of it. I stand firm though. I ruffled a few feathers at a boy scout meeting when I challenged some parents who bragged about downloading bootlegged copies of a new theatrical release. What are we teaching our children? I am all for using Netflix or other rental services for screening and trying out workouts, but if you like the workout well enough, you should support the instructor by purchasing a copy. Tight on money-buy it used on ebay or half.com. Deep discount DVD's has great prices and free shipping. And you can swap fitness dvd's on the Ya-yas board at ezboard.com.

I agree that music CD's are highly overpriced but this still does not justify stealing, especially when you can now buy just the songs you want-wish I had that luxury when I was plunking down $4.99 in hard-earned allowance for a new LP with only a few good songs. (that stands for long playing album for you youngsters unfamiliar with 45's, 78's and the like. Now I've really dated myself).

2:07 poster: I totally agree with you.! And I am in my 30's, so it does not have any thing to do with age. It seems in our society people think that just because you "can" do it it means that you "should" do it.

legal?

from my understanding it is only illegal if you copy and distribute, or copy and sell them. I could be wrong.
