Golden Go To Foods (GG2Fs)

For me a key to sticking to my calorie plan is have a few Golden Go To foods ready and available. These are the decently healthy, B+ or better, foods that I really enjoy and yet don't blow my diet. When my food plan has left me unsatisfied and/or I am just fighting a mental craving I head for a GG2F.

Note: You could include any less than B+ healthy food that you can eat in a limited quantity and truly kill the craving. An example might be one frozen mini Snikers bar. The key is that these alternative GG2Fs (aGG2Fs) must work with a single serving and not tempt you to eat more.

So what are your GG2Fs?

Turkey Taco Chili

This is a 30 minute prep dish that makes 10 (WW 3pt) 1C servings. I make it every week, divide it into servings and keep some at home and some in the office. One serving with 16 oz of water and I am satisfied. Two servings with water and I am stuffed. It is very flavorful, has good texture and always does the trick for me.

for me, a mini snickers bar does not come in with a grade of B+ or better...i turn to naturally sweet foods when i crave sugar-a handful of berries, a banana, wheat crisps with all-fruit. for salty cravings, a handful of macadamias, almonds or rice crackers usually does it for me.

OP here, I am somewhat confused by your question. This thread is asking people to share the foods that they use when hungry/craving that help them stay on the diet track. Is this the nature of your question?

you use the acronym like it is something that is commonly known, that is why I asked. And I have not heard of it. I assumed it was some sort of book, program etc.

What are the criteria that give a food a grade? What makes something an "A" or a "B+"?
