bad relationships and overeating

Does anyone else struggle with this? Looking for support and suggestions for someone in a revolving door of going-no-where/abusive realtionships and overeating. Thanks!

my first thought is that there may/must be an issue related to self-love, self-awareness, self-worth here. do you carry around shame or guilt from your past?

below is a link to a site on why some people get addicted to some things, ie: bad relationships, food. hope this helps. it also might provide other links for further help. hang in there. you are NOT alone in your struggle.

I second 1:16pm. I can only say from personal experience that as you get healthier you will see your bad relationship more clearly and have the mental strength to make the changes necessary. It's always easier to change the YOU in the equation instead of trying to change the THEM. Sounds obvious, but that's been the hardest lesson for me to learn.
Use PT for support in your eating and weight loss journey, and the other things will fall in place.
Good luck--

i think it's not just easier to change you, it's the only possibility. someone else may decide to change themself for you, but you cannot make that person change. by acknowleding that you want help, you have taken a huge step in the right direction. try to keep moving forward, we are here for you.
