pick wisely

My fiance and I have been long distance nearly the whole time we've been together which means many meals out! Can you say it will be every meal or just a few? I say you have to pick your battles. If dinner is going to be something nice have a lighter lunch. Hopefully you won't have to eat three meals/day. I usually eat lunch and dinner on Saturday and then brunch/lunch on Sunday, which totals 3 meals out. My portion sizes eating out always tend to be larger so I don't feel as if I am skimping. Hopefully you can steer towards places with healthier options like soup and salad (great lunch) or something chicken/fish based for dinner. Get all condiments on the side and eat slowly! Remember to hydrate, especially if you're tending towards saltier things (avoids bloat). Also, try to incorporate some sort of physical activity with your date so you can spend time together and get some exercise too!

Good luck, be safe and have fun!

Ok M, I know who you are, lol. So since you asked the pt community heres my 2 cents. The above poster has a good plan brunch instead of breakfast and lunch. Choose places that will be healthier. Seafood, Japanese, stay away from saucy things and Italian and for that matter anything diner like. You know the types of food you should choose. Order a cup of soup before your dinner (a clear based soup) it will fill you up more. You can always substitute menu items in most places. Ask for veggies instead of fries, don't do any beef, have chicken, fish or tofu instead. If you get dessert ask if he wants to share it. Oh and have fun.
