Hi beth-- go to the "groups" or "teams" link on the top of the PEERtrainer natigation bar-- look around and join one, a few, or several that you think meet your needs.

-Groups have up to 4 members and because of that are more intimate.

-Teams have unlimited number of people and are great resources to find several people with your same intrests.

The biggest thing to help get you started is to log everyday (or as often as you can) and be active in your groups. You can log your foods, workout, and personal notes in the "my log" section on your natigation bar. You'll get the hang of it pretty quick. Always feel free to ask for advice either in your groups, teams, or here in the community lounge. Also, just as a side note- spotlight is another place you can go-- this is a team made up of 16 people for a 6 week period of time. Their logs and comments are public on PT. You can visit and ask question there too.

Good luck!

Welcome to the site Beth... this is one of the greatest things you'll do in your weight loss journey... my best advice to you in joining this site is to find a group (or several) that meet your needs and if you find they don't find a new one until you get the right fit for you, you can also start a new group if none of the existing groups meet your needs! Make sure that you log every day because that will have a huge impact on your weight loss and most importantly, don't be afraid to ask questions or seek suggestions from other PTers! Good luck!
