Ok, whatever, French women do get fat.

My family is french. They're all fat. The book should really be called "french women hide their fat well."

I lived in France once upon a time, and I think the title should be, "No, I really LOVE having coffee and cigarettes for breakfast AND lunch." If the premise of this book is that chic, svelte Frenchwomen actually eat, it is flawed.

Really, french women get fat too? Where ever would they shop. I spent some time in France a few years ago and almost every store I went into had no sizes over an 8, lol

The author really does have some great points; it's worth checking out some of her techniques; I saw her on Oprah.

Of course she doesn't mean that NO French women are fat, but that they eat smaller portions of really satisfying things. If you take time to really savor small amount of good quality food, don't you feel more satisfied than wolfing down a big mac with fries in five minutes?

My question is, what is "ITA"? I looked it up on a couple of Internet glossaries and am not finding it -- I guess they can't keep up with rapid acronym evolution!

The book has real merit. Relatively, they stay on the thinner side. There are several well defined strategies in the book.
