for the past week and a half of hiking, jogging, and just plain walkng i have been getting a very strange pain in my leg. i always make sure to do plenty of stretching before my activity, and after 10 - 15 minutes into it, i have a real aching, throbbing like pain just below my hip joint.
has anyone ever experienced this or have any suggestions of stretches i could do to prevent this pain?

is the pain in front, on your side, or behind (below the hip joint, as you said)?
does it feel like muscle pain, nerve pain, or bone pain?
if it is in front, it reminds me of what i went through when i first started running. my hip flexors were weak, and would get really sore/painful while running and after. right where my legs met my hip. i couldn't lift my legs much because of it, and even walking normally put a strain on them. i think i just decided to start more slowly, and try to strengthen them over time.
wish i were a doctor. i can't give much advice, just curious if it is the same ailment. good luck, friend!
