warning this is a little gross but I cant find answers.
So I developed a bit of an allergy to artificial sweetners, and my worst symptom is that when I eat and I've had sweetners, I immediately have to go to the bathroom...and basically everything comes out in liquid form( ew so gross I know). But I dont know what that means when it comes to calorie absorption... it only happens when I have excessive amounts of sweetner ( A habit I'm trying hard to break) but those days are a little confusing because I dont know whether I digested the food or not. Is it possible to have food go through your intestines and not digest it? I dont really understand the workings of digestion and calorie absorption...and all the google searches I've tried come up with answers completely unrelated to my problem. I know that artificial sweetners are a whole problem on their own, but I'm really just wondering about immediate diarrhea and calorie absorption....anyone have answers?

i don't think there is any way to calculate this-you could be losing just the food that was already passing through your intestines but no one would really be able to tell you unless they analyzed your poop! i really wouldn't try to add or subract calories to your daily total in that situation. it's not really a healthy way to look at food intake and there is no way to know for sure what you are absorbing. i would recommend not using the sweetners if they are having this effect on your body-the diarrhea is your body's way of telling you not to use them.
