New Source of Carbs?

Hi, I have been radically reducing my sugar, and also have eliminated dairy and grain for the time being. I am doing so to fight allergies I have had-- and it is working pretty well.

I am now eating more meat, soy and veggies. But I am in need of some more idea for carbs. And if anyone else has done a similar thing please let me know. I guess this is similar to Perricone or Fat Smash. I will say I feel a whole lot better

Beans are about half protein-half carbs (the good ones, like fiber!).

I know you're controlling sugar, but what about the lower glycemic fruits, like berries? Not all fruits are created equal in that respect, and the low-carb diets allow these little beads of heaven :)

Some of my favorites are...

Potatoes, with the skin. Ny favorite is new potatoes, but I like them all.

Also, baked yam/sweet potato.

Squash.

High pectin fruit, like fresh apples and pears, with the skin.

Here are some low-carb non-dairy food sources I have used to provide a little variety to my low-carb diet:
Pickles (dill & other sour types, not sweet)
Plums, Peaches, Berries, Tomatoes
Olives
Coleslaw
Macadamia Nuts
Wine
Avocado
Pork Rinds (if you miss crunchy foods)
Mayonnaise
Gerber Turkey Sticks (in jars on baby food aisle)
Buffalo Wings
Herbal Teas
Black Coffee
Seafood, broiled
Seltzer Water
Seltzer Water with a squirt of lemon juice
Diet Sodas
Sugar Free Jello
Eggs
A little sugar-free chocolate made with sugar alcohols like sorbitol or maltitol (sugar alcohols may cause digestion problems if you eat more than just a little)
