Has anyone had any success with eating a breakfast bar each morning? If so which type? I am trying South Beach Diet bars and they taste pretty good and are a simple breakfast since I am on the go. Anyone have opinions on them?

I like the Natures Path Optimum Rebound Bars or Energy Bars. I Eat one every morning after I workout, I think they greatly aid in my recovery, giving me the strength to move onto the next days workout.

i suppose they are good for post-workout but i have never found them helpful for anything more than an afternoon snack. I typically need more of a hearty "acknowledged" breakfast, meaning i need to sit down and know that i am being filled, rather than eat on the go-- which leads to quick hunger for me. I said in high school though-- stick my opinion in a coke machine and you probably won't get anything !

I had to ditch them because I just wound up eating three or four. It's funny, but for me I need to take lots of bites to feel full. A bar is gone in three of four and my mind is saying, "What the hell?! That wasn't a meal!" I do best with high fiber cereal. Though I understand the appeal of a bar from a time saving point of view, I could never use them to lose weight.
