body building

I happened to be on some mailing list and got a body building magazine in the mail. They listed at least a 100 different supplements and featured different diets. While I don't want to be ripped, I know it could help me with my abs. Any advice here?

I think the guy that writes Men's Health, I think it's called the "abs diet" is great for this.

There is no pill or supplement for getting great abs.

There's no diet that will "target belly fat."

Know how you get great abs? do lots and lots of crunches. There's no easy path, no shortcut. It's hard work, plain and simple.

Agree with 10:54.
Muscle definition in area of the body comes not with supplements. It's about limiting your intake of refined flours and sugars, increasing your protein and fruits/vegs/good fats. Along with cardio and strength training with repetition, slow controlled motion, and good form. Body fat loss will show the definition.
Boxing works great on the obliques, proper crunches can work your center abdominals.
Spend your money on the gym and a good trainer, not on pills.

Also, you need to reduce over all body fat--if you carry too much body fat, doing crunches "until the cows come home" won't help. They muscles will be obscured by the extra fat. They will look better, but you may not get the "ripped" look that you're after until the body fat is lowered enough to see the definition.
