Most of todays diets suggest snacks such as almonds and other nut products..(peanut butter etc.) Does anyone have replacement suggestions for those of us that would die from a "nut snack"?
By the way, I ran a search on this topic and nothing came up. I apologize if this is a repeat.

Nuts take forever to digest
I'm not sure I undestand the logic of nuts for a diet. They take a very long time to digest. Chicken and fish are digested fairlyt quickly by the body. Beef takes a lot longer. In my experience, when I focus on foods that take less time to digest, I keep the weight off.

I think part of the nuts theory is so that there is something to keep your tummy "full" so that you don't opt to eat more....
To the OP--
Can you eat soybeans? There are some snacks made with soybeans, which is high in protein. (roasted soy beans, although I found the soy butter not to my taste,....
Edamame beans (in the shell--don't eat the shell) are basically soy beans-- they are good steamed and with a bit of salt. But DON'T eat the shell (they are not really edible--tough and fuzzy-- I made that mistake the 1st time I had them at the age of 18... LOL)
