when calculating fiber, is all fiber equal?

are some sources of fiber better than others? I recently started weight watchers and I am looking at fiber in all my foods now. Are different fibers better or are better for weight loss?

I'm unsure about your question. What do you mean by different fibers? Like the fiber powder you add to foods vs the fiber inherent within the food?

I believe the only variations are soluble and insoluble fiber. Soluble fiber is better.
