Anyone subscribe to Cooking Light?
I just received a card in the mail to get a 2 year subscription to Cooking Light for $16 - not a bad deal. I'm thinking about doing it, but would like others opinions on how they like it. How healthy are the recipes? A lot of it looks like it is just lower calories ways to make not so healthy food. (Ie, lowfat chocolate cake.) Don't get me wrong I'm all for a lowfat cake vs. the real thing, but I don't want things like that to be the main staple of my diet.

No, but not because it's not good. I get all of my recipes, etc from the internet now, it's much easier to have in one place than to see something in a mag I like, rip it out (that seems ridiculous now!). I love the internet.

I get it but have never made anything from it. They have good ideas and good articles, I'm just lazy about it.

I love Cooking Light but I'm cheap so I check them out from the library. I think their recipies are generally very healthy. One thing is that some of the recipies call for things that aren't usually in my cupboard or are on the expensive side (like I said, I'm cheap) but I think it's worth it. For me there is nothing better than flipping through a magazine to get inspired to try something new and not get in a food rut. I've tried a lot of the recipies and they always turn out delicious.
