Question about daily calorie intake

Forgive me if this is a silly question.

To maintain my current weight, I need to take in 1600 calories daily. I have been eating 1100 calories a day to lose about 1lb. a week. My question is, when does that stop? Obviously it wont be indefinitely, will it eventually slow down as I get closer to a "normal" weight for my height and stop on it's own? I'm really confused, please any info would be a great help.

The less you weigh, the less calories you need to maintain your weight. So yes, the rate of weight loss will slow down as you lose weight. 1100, as I'm sure you know, is a bit on the low side, so make sure those calories are packed with only nutrtious foods. And be sure to change it up a bit on occasion. Have a 1600 calorie day once or twice a week. And vary your foods. You've got to "keep your body guessing" if you want to continue to see results. Don't forget to exercise, and don't starve yourself. You'd be surprised at how stubbornly your body will hang on to that extra weight if it thinks it's not getting enough food.
