Anyone ever had a tummy tuck?

Just had a baby and am thinking about one. I realized that this is not fat I need to lose, but skin that will not go away. I'm still small, but the droopy skin is very unbecoming.

Anyone?

i have not had one, but feel the way you do. the front of my body looks like it melted. just the other day my husband said "well, thank you because look at the miracle we got out of it". still, i'm curious how much it costs & how one goes about finding a good surgeon.

op here, I found a good surgeon and it'll cost around 5K, maybe less. What is crazy is that I'm about a size 4 or 6, pretty small, but I find myself tucking my stomach into things and it is never flat. I don't want perfection, but I will take never having to suck it in again!

hee hee hee - I'm pregnant and my sister just told me about a growing trend - - women who deliver by c-section and get a tummy tuck at the same time. My first thought was, "How ridiculous!!" My second thought was, "Hmmm - that may not be such a bad idea after all!!" : )

2:44 that is an urban legend

for a while there has been rumors about docs giving tummy tucks right after a c section. so not true, and if there is a doc performing this type of surgery they should be put out of practice.

a c section is major surgery as is a tummy tuck. In order to have a tummy tuck, you'd need to lose the baby weight and let your uterus shrink back down, that is common sense.

But how convenient if you could get that done right after delivery!!!

210 here. i had a c-section and i think that's part of the problem! the skin "flaps" over the scar. and i'm a size 6/8. 5K is way more affordable than i would have predicted.

My sister in law is currently looking into this, and where we live in Florida it's around 10k to get it done.

gah! i don't have any children but i too have an unsightly stomach. :( i'm too chicken to have surgery (at least for now) but after losing almost 75 lbs i have loose skin/fat on my belly that drives me crazy!! i do lots of different ab work, and while my mid-section does look better than it ever has, i'm horrified if i look down at my stomach while doing a pushup or heck when i'm lying (tmi-sorry!) over my boyfriend-eek, like, what is that saggy flap?? ug. i wish there was a non-invasive way to fix this problem (especially as i've got a saggy breast problem as well!!!)!!
