My 56 yr old husband lost his sexual desire !

He said he can't help it . He said I still look good to him He did gain about 25 lbs. He said he just doesn't have the stamina. The last time we got together he couldn't maintain an erection. Any advice>

Ask around for the best doctor. Is he spending a lot of time on the computer?
He might have some involvement there, or porn (some men stop looking to thier wives for that). Look into counseling. How is money? Is he afraid of a baby?
It could be so many things. Can he see the Pastor? You will find the answer..Pray.

Perhaps it is his weight gain? As a woman I know that when I was heavy I didn't feel very sexual at all and my sex life suffered a lot! Also if he is overweight he will have a hard time keeping up, it can be intense cardio!

even though he can no longer get an erection, the two of you can still engage in sexual activities. why not check out a book on tantra? here is a link you might find helpful and that may provide some ideas for you. has your husband expressed concern on his own behalf, or would he be okay with no more intercourse? the answer to that question may help the two of you map out a route of "treatment".

Happens to so many men - that's why viagra is so popular. Don't suffer, check it out with the doctor. Is there anything else happening? Medication, depression, new job, job loss, financial difficulties, etc? My husband is 56, has same problem. They can also check testosterone levels.

I've read that, like anything, if you don't use it, you lose it. Seriously. But it's not just about not using his penis, he needs to move his entire body on a daily basis. If he doesn't move, it's in his nature for his body to start the dying process. We all die if we don't move. All he needs is 30 minutes of walking and some quality food everyday. He'll begin to lose the weight and want to "make babies" because he'll be letting his body know that his time isn't up!

Get him the book "Younger Next Year" (It's bright yellow). I got a lot out of it!

Ah, no, my 56 yr old husband eats well, in slim, walks on a treadmill about 20 miles a week and still has the problem.
