weight watchers points vs. daily calories

Are WW points the equivilent of daily calories for a persons weight ?? for instance if a person ways 280 pounds and they get 30 ww points is it the same as say 2000 calories ?

Points of foods don't differ based on a person's weight; the number of points you're "allowed" may differ though. A WW point is between 50 and 100 calories, generally, depending on other factors in the food - i.e. how much fat, how much fiber. I think there are more foods where 1 point is closer to 50 cals than to 100, but I'm not positive.

So, roughly speaking, 30 WW points is probably around 2000 calories, possibly more (if each point were 75 calories, 30 would be 2,250 cals).
