Article in NYTimes about food politics

Check this out. Interesting article about how the farm bill makes junk food cheaper to produce than healthy, whole foods....

I saw this and was going to post this myself. A very interesting article- I had no idea that our government essentially subsidizes Twinkies and the like. It hurts us consumers, makes us global trade hypocrites and helps farmers.

You should read his book "The Omnivore's Dilemma." It's fascinating and helps explain how we got where we are today with food, farms, production and all the related social problems.

Wow, very interesting article. I knew junk food was cheaper, but didn't know why. This makes me want to find out more about the farm bill & how to make it better for the public as a whole.

I have posted the question "who is PT?" a couple of times and it keeps getting deleted by PT .. which is pretty creepy.

on another thread ... it was about suggestions for PT ,,, I posted the comment "who is PT anyway?" meaning: who runs PT, who works for PT, who owns PT?

The entire thread disapeared immediately. So, I posted another thread with the same question. It disapeared. I posted a comment on another thread and someone responded "who would win: batman or superman?" - which is the same response I got when I asked how many members there are on PT ... Very strange! Why would any of this be a secret?
