you just have to figure out why you want to lose the weight and hold onto that to motivate you. is it to be healthy and look good. is it to be able to keep up with people and enjoy life. you just have to push yourself. your the only one that can do it. joining pt was a geat step. now log your foods and start exercising ask your groups to stay on you and challenge you about exercising and eating right trust Me they will. thats what were here for to support and motivate each other. good luck!

motivation

I get my motivation from myself. I know what I used to weigh and be able to do. I just have to remind my body. I do this by exercising and eating healthy. I just have to keep pushing until my body gets back to where it ought to be:o)

maybe your academic course load could be altered so that you are not so drained by it? it sounds like you may be rebelling against yourself, maybe out of comtempt for such a rigorous schedule or amount of work that you have taken on? if you can't lessen your responsibilities at school, how about trying to incorporate a little exercise at a time back into your daily routine? for instance, if you walk or take a subway to school, can you carry some hand weights to do arm curls? or pick up the pace at which you are walking? take stairs instead of lifts, enter buildings from the end farthest from your classroom, get books on tape so you can walk while you absorb the reading material? at the very least, give yourself credit for wanting to better yourself!! you can relax in a hot tub and do leg lifts at the same time!

I take it you have a very small frame. I'm 1.65 and don't want to get under 60. It just wouldn't be healthy for me. 1 kilo a week can be done, but I've found I average more like 600-700g. Not bad when all those weeks add up. Sounds like you're losing with a certain goal in mind. Summer holiday(you mentioned 8ks in 2 months)? If you're really active by nature, try and remember the stuff that you love that won't feel like drugery. I'm not sure if the gym falls under that heading for you, but what about intense hikes, or something on/in the water? I'm at uni too, so I know how it goes, but I will say that I've maintained my losses week in and week out with just about half and hour of phys (sometimes quite intense, mind you) 5-6 days a week in my tiny little dorm room. Think of it as a way of destressing and turning your brain off after a tough day. I think I'd go insane if I didn't get my workout in at this point which is a 180 from where I was a year ago. Best part, I'm doing better in school. Coincidence? Anyway, all the best. Hope you find something to jump start yourself. Make sure and take advantage of whatever facilities exisit at your school. You'll do it.

I believe 9:22 is referring to the "Why my threads disapper?" thread ... text shortenings, bad spelling/typing/grammar, etc.

10:27 - it's neither a compliment nor an insult, just an explanation for 1:37.

10:29 - I guess you don't know that habits only has one b (I kind of like this error though, because it looks like "hobbits", which makes me laugh), or that in this context "a" before motivation is awkward (OP gets it right in the body of her post though), etc.?

Anyway, grammar/typing/spelling is not the OP's biggest issue here. The bigger concern is why does she want to be 108 lbs (49kg) at 5'5" (1.65m)? That's 10 lbs below the lowest weight in the healthy weight range for that height. She's 125 lbs now, which is at the low end of her healthy weight range and a fantastic place to be.

we're here to share our own experiences and support the efforts of others to get healthy or maintain an already healthy lifestyle. not everyone is here to lose weight, and some who are seeking advice on how to lose XXX pounds more may do well to receive information about what generally constitutes a healthy weight / height ratio. you don't just inform someone how to drop 10 pounds in a week because they've asked how to. that's not support, that's becoming a reference book. when we explain to a person who seeks dramatic weight loss that there may be dire consequences, we are indeed supporting that person's effort to better him/her self, even if we are not describing how to lose weight.

You can share whatever you want, obviously. But I think most people you find here will not blindly support an unhealthy extreme of weight loss. People with eating disorders need help and motivation, but not the kind we provide here.

Unfortunately there are more than a few anorexics/bulimics using this site to feed their psychosis. I question whether the OP is one of them, since she sounds mor than a little like the people on that thread, "For those who still need to loose" (not my typo!). Delighted to see that the group linked from the original post is empty.
