A tip for motivation :-)

Just a simple tip that would encourage others to get motivated, it could be, exercise, food or words of encouragement.

Believe in yourself. Real motivation can come only from inside you.

Focus on getting enough sleep! that alone (getting 9 hours) helped me lose 5 pounds. #1 I snack in front of the TV late at night #2 the more tired you are the more you lean towards pick me ups in food form throughout the day.
either way its good for ya! :)

Exercising increases endorphins, wonderful hormones that help you feel good. A natural high.

Take it one day at a time. And if you can do something for a day, you can do it for two days, or a week or a month or longer.

If you have a bad day or even a bad week, don't throw in the towel. One mess up or even 10 will not ruin your diet if you don't let it. 2 weeks ago I went on a business trip and completely dropped all my diet and exercising habits I'd built up over the last 4 months and gained 3 pounds. I pulled it together last week instead of giving up like I used to and lost 4 pounds this week. Look ahead at the posibilities, don't look back at the failures (except to learn from them).

Frozen grapes are a wonderful and sweet treat when you get the munchies. You can't eat them fast. Just suck on them for a nice refreshing snack.

Image your body how you want it to look and it is very motivating while doing cardio!!! Imagine how rewarding it is going to feel when you actually get there!!!

improve your health by choosing healthier foods and exercising regularly. if you happen to like the way your body's shape changes, consider it a benefit, but don't make that your goal.

I use music during cardio and I am always pumped. Even if the first half hour is hard the second half is much easier and it is my music that gets me through

walk tape.

I use an old stand by walk fit tape. I turn the sound off and put on some upbeat music and it's less boreing.

A tip for motivation

I took digital pictures of myself front/back/side, downloaded them on my computer, shrunk the size, printed them on regular copy paper and I keep them in my diet journal. It reminds of what I look like now(when you are fat you tend to avoid full length mirrors, pictures are a wake up call) and I will compare it to other pictures down the line to show me how far I've come.

My camera has a self-timer so you can do that if you feel uncomfortable posing half-naked in front of others.

this is a great tip. I, for one, hate mirrors and this makes you confront what you actually look like. It is not like everyone else doesn't see you. You are just denying it to yourself! Thanks for the great tip.

Listen to your body. It tells you when you're full, when you're tired, when you need exercise...

my body tells me that i'm hungry a lot, and when i don't listen, it starts to argue with me. and it tells me that i'm tired and need to nap a lot. this also causes tension.

Motivation

Writing down everything- to prevent food amnesia ;-)

I like seeing more and more defined muscle and less cellulite! :-) That's what drives me in my spin class, the mirrors! Thinking to myself, who's that FIT/STRONG girl in the mirror, ME!!! :-D
