Getting motivated (help wanted AND needed!)
I just read about peertrainer.com in people mag. At this point in my life, any help is welcomed :-) as of today, May 17 (2 days before my 35th b-day), I just weighted myself - 218 lbs (and I’m only 5'6) Seems like high-time to do something about it!
I have a great, top-notch elliptical machine at home (as well as a set of weights) – the problem is I never use them! I live in Marin County, California so I have hundreds (thousands?) of hiking trails right outside my door (and the weather is great all year round). All I need is motivation!

Are you in a group or team? I know motivation is ONE of the hardest things to do. What I try to do is get it out of the way first thing in the morning so I know that I don't want to EAT AWAY everything I worked so hard for. Maybe you could break out your elliptical for 15 minutes three times a day or even 2 10 minute routines. Whatever you do, make sure you do something, walking, elliptical or your weights. You can do this :-)

Im 58 pounds from reaching goal. we can do this together.

new to PT
I'm new to PT and I am also new to trying to communicate in a group. I need pointers on how to communicate with the members of my group, possibly starting a group with my friends. I feel like I'm talking to a void. When I get the hang of the computer part of this I wil need motivation to keep with a healthy eating plan and to restart an exercise plan. I would like to encourage others and feel a little more personally connected to those I'm working with.

getting & staying motivated
I just started on May 16 after noticing the article in people. I 'm sure I have lost several hundred pounds over the years which seem to slowly come back. My concern is to stabilize at a healthy weight and stay there.
