I'm New Too

Hi Katy, what do you want to talk about? I'm someone who has battled with weight issues since I was your age, and I can tell you that if you win now, you will never have issues later in life. Now is the best time for you to get control of this situation. Let me know if you don't mind having an "older" person to talk to...I will understand if you want to talk more with somone your own age. I'm a mom, by the way...my daughter just turned 15. She's lucky though, right now she seems to have inherited her dad's metabolism, but she still wants to eat healthy and not have the problems that I have. My log is public, if you want to take a look.

Hey

Hey Katy!
i definatly know what you are struggling with! But if you realize it know ( like you do) and try to fix and correct it ( which you are also doing ) you will be sucessful.
It is a process of a lot of tiresome days where you probably feel like your not getting any thinner and that what you are doing is pointless. BUT... one day is not going to make a difference, one week is not going to make much of a difference. But, if you keep plugging away believing that you are stronger and in control of what you are doing and your mindset is positive you will make it through. Be conscience about what you eat but dont say no to everything because of the calories it comes with. Treat yourself but dont spoil yourself. Do something for yourself physcial every day . This will make you feel great and it will show:)

You could join a get started group or team - that's really how this works. The group and team support.

PeerTrainer has set up a team for new members to ask questions, and some of us more experienced users (I've been here for over 2 years) have joined, to help answer the questions. It's called "PT Experts." You should join the team. I've put the link below, but if it doesn't work, go to the "teams" link above, and search for the team by name, and click "join." It doesn't prevent you from joining any other groups or teams; you can join as many as you want. That one was just specifically designed to help new members figure out how to best use PeerTrainer.
