Juicer

Does anyone have their own juicer and make their own vegetable juice? I just had my first vegetable juice over the weekend - carrot juice w/ celery, broccoli, kale, ginger, beets, and I don't even remember what else. It was really good, but over $5 for a small! I'm not good at eating my veggies, so I was just wondering how hard it'd be to make this myself?

no fiber, calorie dense. and a huge mess. and you'll spend a pretty penny on pounds of vegetables to make juice. the reason for the cost of $5 is because of the enormous amount of veggies needed. for a cup of carrot juice, you'll easily go through at least 2 pounds of carrots. i bought one a few years ago and really gave it a go. to no satisfaction. it's worth $5 to me to pay someone else once in a while to do the juicing for me and deal with the mess for me, too.

Juicer

HI, I have a Champion Juicer for sale for $100-excellent condition HOWEVER
I discovered something last year that is sooo much better! It is called The CHAMP or Blendertec or K-Tec-all the same blender. You can blend to smooth (no pulp removal) beets, carrots, avocados(with seed) lemons w/ peel etc. Check it out online-it is hands down the best investment I have made in my health, in my life!
Good Luck

If you have even an inexpensive blender you can make smoothies that contain quite a few veggies. And smoothies will have all the fiber and nutrients with much less mess to clean.

You can buy ready made carrot juice in most groceries now. Blend that w a frozen banana or melon balls & berries, some ginger and spinach. Some things will not blend well, but an amazing number will if you have some liquid to start with.
