OT: Watch out for Kinz Clubhouse in WebKinz

My kids wanted access. I spent some time in one of the party rooms and saw how folks were able to get past the 'safety restrictions' very easily to have sexually explicit conversations.

They even fiured out how to tell other folks where they were from.

I emailed Webkinz, but I wanted to spread this word wide and far to those of you who who's kids have asked for access

What is Kinz Clubhouse? I'm a little green. Or blonde? :) Hope you are having a nice evening.

Kinz Clubhouse is an online community for kids. It isn't part of PT. You buy these stuffed animals called Webkinz and they have a code and then you log on to the website and take care of your animal. Or rather the kids do.

My daughter wanted access too. She is only 8 and I didn't want her chatting with anyone, but I didn't know they were that easy to get around. I'll have to let other friends with kids know.
Thanks

Kinz Community

I have recently set up a site for my daughter called Kinz Community. The intent was to have a safe place for our children to interact with each other, trade stories, show off Webkinz rooms, etc and have fun doing so. I try to keep a close eye on the posts there, but a few extra eyes never hurt, so if anyone is interested in assisting as a topic moderator, or writing some content on safe internet usage for kids, please let me know. The site address is: www.kinzcommunity.com
Also, if you have any suggestions to improve the site or make it safer, please share them with me. You can private message me on the Kinz Community site.
Thanks.
