just had to comment

Man, I knew I had a pretty good man in my life, but after reading so many posts the last few days about the insensitive things other's significant others have said to them about their weight, or the bad habits that they have, etc it just reaffirmed for me how good I've got it.

I've got a man who constantly tells me how beautiful I am, and supports me in so many ways, and eats/acts like a gentleman! I'm so lucky and I hope that all of you girls/guys out there can find someone who treats you just as well!

Good for you!!

I also have a man who tells it like it is but is always telling me I'm beautiful and he is always touching me, he says he loves the way I feel. Just goes to show you that some men really don't mind a bit of cush.

I think that's so great. If men would only realize that a few comments like "You look good today" means so much to a woman. GUYS OUT THERE - if you think good things about your spouse/GF, say it. Even the littlest thing is good to hear and it will earn you more points than any flower any day.

We are blessed!!!

My BF is also amazing. I was actually around 230 when we met and now I am 175. He has NEVER said anything about my weight and has been supportive in my attempts to lose weight. He is my guinea pig for new recipes and tags along for my walks. Having someone to love me unconditionally has been my best diet secret

my BF is pretty amazing as well and willing to adjust his life to my goals-eating healthy, going to the store to buy ingrediants instead of eating out, doing active things. We are not eating fast food for the month and he is only doing it to support me :) WOW he is amazing

I'm glad to see some positive words for the good men- I've got one, too. He is so considerate- very complimentary, very loving. I had a funny premonition the other day when he grabbed my butt, that when he's 70 years old, he's gonna be still trying to grab my butt!

I have a amazing husband also... when I went on the no carb diet as in no breads, potatoes, pastas, and rice. He followed this with Me. now we have incorporated grains and starches back, but we know we dont have to have them all the time.

we did this for three months, He also is very supportive of Me going to the gym and different classes. He is great. he also helps keep Me in check. we dont buy junk food and chocolate. if we want choc we buy a bar when were out. we only buy fruits and gronola bars and such to snack on.

alot of guys I know would not be as supportive as He is . He makes Me feel like I am the only woman on earth. Hes very special.. He says He loves Me as I am but I want to finish losing this weight for Me and He supports that.

That is always good to hear. It's nice to know there are good guys out there! My ex-boyfriend never said anything negative about my little bit of extra weight, but he also never really said many positive things, either. I remember all of two times when he complimented me, and when he did, obviously it made me feel great! I don't know why it's so hard for some people to say something nice.....

Confessions of an unappreciative girlfriend

Reading everyone's comments has made me realize how awful I have been lately. I too have a wonderful boyfriend who lets me know how beautiful he thinks I am (no matter what i weigh) and supports me in all of my diet/fitness endeavors. The problem is that I sometimes get so caught up in negative feelings about my progress that I don't even hear the good things he says. I certainly haven't given him enough credit for how great he is. Thanks for the wake up call!

Can I mention that as a guy, it's really nice to hear "hey, you look great today," or "that shirt REALLY looks good on you" every now and then as well...

I tell my husband everyday that I think he looks nice, and I really mean it. While I'm not fishing for a compliment in return, it would be nice to hear one every now and then! He did say it back to me once but without even looking at me! And when I went behind him and covered his eyes, I asked him what I had on. He answered wrong!!! What's the point of getting a compliment if it's not said with sincerity?

women (and men) read things into men's (and women's) behavior and words so often, why not try to find the hidden meaning here, too? maybe he's saying, "you look great, and i don't even have to see you to know that because you always look great in my eyes!!"

My husband (7 months newlywed) walks with me after dinner when I can tell that he really just wants to relax and told me just this morning how great the definition in my arms is as well as the new definition around my waist. I'm getting fit and healthy for me, but I couldn't do it without his support.

When I first started on my weight loss journey my husband said this to me, "Never forget how beautiful and sexy your body is right now. " I thought that was the nicest thing any man had said to me about my weight.

And now when we're on long bike rides together, he likes to ride behind me, checks me out in my bike shorts and catcalls. woohoo!
