I Hate It When My Husband Is Late For Dinner and Doesn't Call

One of the challenges aboout trying to lose weight is making sure I make that 7:00pm cut-off. So late in the afternoon I usually get a phone call saying "I will be leaving at so and so time", so I plan dinner to be ready as soon as he gets home, because we are both hungry, and both trying to lose weight. So I get a phone call 10 minutes after the time he should have already been home, saying he has just left.

gggggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

How I'm hungry and cranky

That used to irk me, too. Aside from being hungry, it used to annoy me I'd spend all that time making a great dinner only to have it go cold. I'd enjoy it while it's hot!

Don't wait, it is your body not his.

I would eat at whatever time is good for your own personal weight loss schedule. You are not responsible for his diet or his lack of timeliness.
This is what my BF and I do. He knows I don't eat after 6:30 pm and if he is late he knows he is on his own.The only question he asks is; if I left him out a plate? That way no hard feelings and everyone feels healthier, which really his the ultimate goal.

same thing happens here... only he is good to call, I just eat on my own or have a small snack.. Definately eat because you will just overeat later or still not be satisfied with the same amount of food if you let yourself get overly hungry.
Now that we have a son, I am more likely to make for 2 of us.. though sometimes I fix something for ds and wait for dh to cook. :P
