Fitflop, was on Good Morning America

Thoughts? I'm about to pre order a pair, am I potentially wasting my money?

I figure, if they don't work, at least they are cute enough to keep wearing anyway :oP

Below is the link to the FitFlop website.
I haven't tried them, but I'd consider this before investing in those MBT shoes - the FitFlops sell at for $45, while those MBTs are around $250 if I remember correctly.

FitFlop Sandals

I think FitFlop Sandals are great. You can't beat the fact that they only cost $50 versus a pair of MBT shoes.

I have them. I've been wearing them for a few weeks. I think it's a placebo effect because you think you can walk more, so you do, so you get more fit. I do not notice any difference than any other pair of flip flops I have. I have 4 pairs and alternate and live in a warm climate. They look cuter than the mbts.

I own a pair of FitfFops - I don't think they are really working out my legs any more so than a normal shoe. I still think they were worth the $ because my feet feel great after wearing them all day...probably because the soles are much thicker than most flip flops.

I tested my FitFlops out on a long shopping trip to make sure my feet wouldn't hurt after wearing them. My feet felt so good that I'm planning to wear my FitFlops to Disney World in June. I live in a warm climate and love to wear flops but most of them cause pain in my heels after a couple hours of wear. FitFlops and Crocs flip flops are the most comfortable flip flops I've ever worn.

I bought a pair, and thought they were really ugly when they arrived. And, the part that goes between your toes is very plastic-y, and it rubbed my foot weird. So, I shipped them back. Not to discourage anyone, but I didn't think they were so great. I ordered mine from Victoria's Secret.

I have recently purchased the Fit Flop Snugger and I love them. They are very warm and cozy and actually work my leg muscles. I think they work better than the MBT Sport Trainers I bought and they cost less.

I wouldn't waste my money. Sounds more like a gimmick.

Seriously? You wanna shape up whilst walking? Buy a good pair of steel-toed workboots, or a comfortable hiking boot. The additional weight on your feet will force your calves to work harder. I'd reccommend _against_ ankle weights -- there's no need to stress out veins and arteries that are running in close proximity to both bones and the surface. Also, I've heard that people using ankle weights are more likely to roll their ankles, b/c the support they give does not prevent against lateral rotation damage. Dunno about the validity of that, since I don't do biomechanics, but from an understanding of human osteology, I'd say it's likely there's at least some truth in it.

Anyway, as far as boots are concerned, I've found that Asolo is a good brand; offers great ankle support, although the sole is rigid, and more suited to inclines than flat surfaces (ie, not so good for sidewalk trekkers).
