Hey. Funny, I'll be a senior too...well in college.

Basically, you need to make this a lifestyle change. I've been in groups with young girls and even girls a few years older than me who suddenly cut their calories and eat so little, but then they end up failing. What you should do is make healthier food choices, cut down on portions, eat when you're hungry and stop when you're full, distribute your meals and snacks every few hrs so you don't end up bingeing, etc. Also, incorporate more fiber (produce, whole grain bread, brown rice) to keep you full and give yourself a small calorie treat everyday (few pieces of dark chocolate, for example). Make sure to exercise and do some basic strength training moves. It helps to read articles or maybe if possible make an appointment with a nutritionist.

By the way, don't take this personally, but forget about Abercrombie and Hollister. Those clothes are so expensive and you shouldn't waste your money when you could get more affordable clothing else where. I know in high school it feels like the number 1 thing in your life is to fit in, but it won't matter how popular you were in HS. I know I wasn't popular at all in HS, but I'm feeling good about what I've accomplished in college and I know I'm going to be successful, compared to a lot of those popular kids back who HS who are kind of lost now lol. Sorry about my rant haha.

Good luck!

Hey! Good for you for wanting to make the most of your senior year and get in shape (for life!)

People often ask about how to get motivated, but only you can discover that. What worked for me may have little impact for you. I read a book and that lit a fire in me, I'm making the necessary changes and I'm not looking back.

Congrats on this step! You can do it! It can be tough, but it's worth it!

Ok.... first of all, it's not " sadly overweight LOL"
Are you sad or are you laughing??
And, yes, it does matter...
If you are not serious about this, it will not happen.
Oh, and there is no "trick" to weight-loss. Eat less, excercise more. It comes down to that and oly that. Good luck with the Hollister, and remember, clothes go out of fashion, but a good body never does!

Good for you for wanting to be healthy....you will have to work at it, but it is well worth it. Most of all, make sure you are committed for the right reasons......otherwise you may set yourself up. Remember, being healthy is a life long committent.

And as with any website...take what you can use and leave the rest....

Keep us posted on your journey.

HIYA

I'M IN HIGH SCHOOL TOO, ONLY I'LL BE A JUNIOR THIS UPCOMING FALL. I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL. MY SWEET SIXTEEN IS COMING UP AND I WANT TO LOOK THE BEST (I MEAN, I CAN STILL DO THAT, BUT THAT'S NOT THE POINT.)

HONESTLY, I PREFER TO BE ON THE FAT SMASH DIET BY IAN SMITH BECAUSE I FEEL THAT IT IS A GREAT WAY TO LOSE AN IMPRESSIVE AMOUNT OF WEIGHT AND KEEP IT. OTHERS MIGHT THINK YOU SHOULDN'T DECIDE ON THIS DIET BECAUSE THERE REALLY IS SUCH A DRASTIC DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS DIET AN OTHERS, BUT IF I'M YOUNGER THAN YOU AND SAYING YOU CAN DO IT, YOU CAN DO IT!
THAT IS, IF YOU WANT TO.

IT'S SUMMER. YOU COULD ALWAYS TRY IT OUT AND THEN SWITCH TO ANOTHER DIET IF IT GETS TOO TOUGHT, THOUGH, THAT'S NOT HOW I PREFER TO DO THINGS.

I WISH YOU LUCK AND HOPE THAT YOU HAVE THE BEST SENIOR YEAR IN ALL AMERICA! LOL!!
