For those in their mid 20s-30s who have struggled with weight loss their whole lives...

I joined peertrainer today for one main reason: Last night I was out to dinner with my boyfriend when an older couple seated next to us asked me when my "little one" was due. I was more than just mortified. I was ashamed.

I don't want to live like this again. I have lost my weight before, so I know I am capable. What I haven't done is keep it off so my goal is two-fold: lose it again and lose it for the last time.

I would love to find others with similar food issues (binge/stress eating, lack of motivation, life long struggle) and help each other day by day.

You shouldn't be feeling ashamed...those people had no tact. I don't think people should go around assuming others are pregnant and asking questions about it.

I've been dieting on and off since I was 14, and finally reached my goal two summers ago. I've kept most of it off since then, but I gained about seven pounds in the last few weeks so I'm working on re-losing it. As a teenager and very young adult, I was very impatient and wanted instant results. When I was 26, I think I developed enough common sense to go for slow, healthy weight loss instead of crash diets like before. Having access to weight loss communities online was also a big help. I hope you'll find lots of support here!
