I feel this way every time I look in the mirror lol, but then I just remind myself that I'm doing what I need to be doing and I'll get there soon enough! keep up the work you will get there!

I don't know anyone who doesn't go through this sometimes. I have a tough time with believing I can do something that I've failed at many times before. Yes, I know what I need to do to get there, but life gets in the way. I go on a trip (see my recent thread), or I get sick/injured, or there's too much food and too many food pushers at a big event... whatever.
It's very hard to see that light at the end of the tunnel, especially if you have a longer way to go.
Okay, this is stupid, but... I picture my negative voice as that little cartoon guy saying "you'll never maaaake iiiit.... you'll be sorry..." and the positive voice as the thin, fit me, fingers in ears yelling "LA LA LA LA LA LA LA..." (Can you tell I'm a little sister? I did a lot of that growing up.) So stick your fingers in your ears and try to replace the negative self-talk with something positive. You're doing it! You're getting there!

Make smaller goals. My ultimate goal weight, for example, is 135. That seems impossible right now, so my new goal is 145. When I hit that one, I will work on pushing myself further.

I agree with the 10:48 poster. If you feel like your not going to reach your goal because something comes up, don't make excuses for it! A while back I tried to loose weight w/ my cousin, everyday she'd come over and we'd workout together. During that time, I got sick, and had that time of the month and made the excuse that I didn't fee like doing it because I was sick or something like that. This time right when I decided to get in there and work out and loose weight that time of the month rolled around and I thought lord I really don't feel like doing this I should just wait till this passes, but then I realized if I keep making up excuses to not do it, I'll continually make excuses till I completely fall out of it, so quit making excuses and just do it! You will feel 100% better after you do!
