I have been hearing that adding cayenne pepper to your diet helps to boost your metabolism. Has anyone tried this?

I did read this webpage regarind what boosts your metabolism and cayenne pepper was on it. It claims it boosts your metabolism by 20%. I think that is a lot. I love cayenne pepper and now plan to use it more than I used to. I've always heard that spicy foods or sauces or apple cider vinegar also does but some of the other things on this list are pretty interesting as well.

I guess I haven't tried explicitly to boost my metabolism - I'm just using more of it because I'm eating more veggies and I like to spice them up to make them tastier. Did you happen to read how much it takes? Because I can't believe that it's just a pinch here or there.

I just recently read:
If you use a cider vinegar or cayenne pepper related diet (and stick to it) you end up losing weight. BUT not because of those items, per se.
They make the food more flavorful and so you tend to savor it more. Also, with the spice or the tangy kick, you may no longer be appetized by it at the end, so you end up eating less.
So... they work because they help trick you into eating less each time you sit down.
If it works for you, go for it!
