I need help getting started.

I have no idea how to start properly and stay with it. Everything I have ever tried to do on my own ended very quickly. Is it normal to do so terribly alone?

is it necessary to be so nasty to newbies on here? so what if there's a similar thread, maybe it doesn't address her/his needs. way to make them feel welcome! such an amassador for PT.

Op- this is what PT is about, not to feel alone and get support from people. most are genuinely wonderful on here. there's just a few nasty ones in the bunch that ruin it. anyway. join a few groups and teams to find the right people to bounce these types of questions off of. good luck to you!

what's your username and i can invite you to a very supportive team.... that is of course if you want to share.

Start simple

Start simple....just post what your are doing today. You don't even need a plan to start out...just get used to writing it down. That very simple act wakes you up to how you are living and you will find yourself making changes over time. That's my recommendation.
As you read what others are doing you will probably start to make some changes. A great very simple book is "Secrets from the Lean Plate Club" by Sally Squires. I found the book very positive and encouraging. Very simple steps for making changes are outlined.
Best to you....you are doing a great thing. It takes multiple starts and finally you will get enough of a head of steam to get going. You don't ever have to do anything perfectly either.
