Pesi max/diet coke or squash

Is it really bad to have fizzy drinks like diet coke or pepsi max with just 1kcal? Or is it better to have robinsons squash or juice which has around 9kcals per glass. Obviously squash is diluted with water so that's good but just how bad are fizzy drinks? I used to drink full fat fizzy drinks like regular coke all the time but then earlier this yr switched to diet and now I try not to have it all the time but I fall into the habit of having around a can a day....

Please advise.

I drink pepsi very rarely if I am going out I will have a pepsi or coke sometimes.. most squash contain alot of sugar..

as far as diet. I cant stand the taste.. if you haveto have fizz.. maybe try limeaide or lemonade . or add some lemon and lime to some water.. or mabe like a mineral sparkling water..

watch sugar and salt content though.

Drink water and really cut back on the soda, pop, squash, diet or otherwise. That stuff is not good for you.

Used to drink a lot of diet and switched to sparkling water so I got my fizz. Now I only drink it occasionally. Iced herbal tea is a good alternative (like mint).

I have to agree that water is always the better choice but if having that diet soda will keep you on track where your eating is concerned then I don't see where having one now and again is a bad thing. Everything in moderation. However if you find that you have a trigger food or even if soda is your trigger food then stay away from it.
I used the flavored seltzer water for a while and it is good too but now and again you want that soda that you are used to having.
I guess I just balance everything in my mind. Which is worse, to be so heavy or to have a soda.
It is tough to give up everything at once. But work toward more water.
Seems I read an article that said you had to drink like some huge amount of water to flush your system of the soda. So obviously it isn't good for you.
You decide what works for you.
