Caffiene fix pre workout?

Do any of you ever have a little caffiene before a workout?

I used to take an energy supplement years ago and had good effects, meaning a better workout......especially if I was slumping.

I am now caffiene free! But I feel like having a caffiene fix before a workout will enhance my preformance.

I wouldn't take pills or anything like that, but perhaps a small cup of coffee.

Overheard from a female personal trainer/bodybuilder at my gym, to a client who told her she wasn't feeling particularly good that morning: "Drink coffee beforehand - it revs you up gets you sweating sooner, which helps move any toxins out of your system."

Also, some research came out a few months back about how caffeine helps with muscle soreness after a workout - even more justification (if you're looking for any!) to keep throwing back the coffee :)

I have been using caffeine before workouts for some years now. It definitely gets me going. The negative is that it has become a gentle addiction. I drink as much as 4 or 5 cups a day.
