How can orange juice not have fiber in it?

I'm looking at the information for country style oj, which has lots of pulp in it.How can the pulp not contain fiber? I even checked the minute maid website and none of their juices has fiber in it. does not make sense.

Most of the fiber in an orange comes from the fuzzy white layer, plus some from the thicker sectional membranes. These parts don't make through the juicer.

Sugar

Orange juice is not made 100% from oranges. It is made mostly of sugar, and the parts of the orange that are in it, are not the parts with the most fibre. It is not healty in anyway, eat an orange instead.

Perhaps you're thinking of "orange drink" which does usually have a good deal of refined sugar. If something is labeled as 100% orange juice it is the juice of oranges and (if from concentrate) added water. You might be misunderstanding the label when it lists in what ratio the carbohydrates come in; fiber and "sugar" but by this they mean the naturally occuring fruit sugars - fructose. Orange juice has loads of vitamins and minerals, especially when freshly squeezed. Of course eating the whole fruit is always best but not always an option.

less than 1% of RDA?

I'm with the OP -- orange juice has visible chunks of pulped orange in it, which sure seem fibrous to me. Perhaps it is less than 1% of the RDA of fiber, in which case they are not supposed to list it.
