weight watchers points question

How many points is a person on weight watchers supposed to eat for lunch? For instance the healthy choice meal I am eating says 7 weight watchers points. Is this good?

I think the low end of WW is around 22 points per day; if you're heavier and have more to lose, you are probably given more points than that.

So, 7 points for lunch seems reasonable - a little less than 1/3 of the points you're given for a day.

However, you need to be sure that those points are filling. If a healthy choice meal leaves you hungry an hour or two later, then it's not a healthy choice for you, b/c it's a somewhat large portion of your daily allotment of food.

I agree with 2:36. Although 7 points for lunch is fine, frozen meals are not the best option. They never filled me up. I can eat a lot more for the same points if I make my own.

But, the answer to your question is yes, I think 7 points would be fine for lunch.

I don't have time to make lunch everyday so I buy lean cuisines often and I make a big salad at the beginning of the week with lots of veggies and I eat a salad with the frozen entree throughout the week. I use about a tablespoon of low fat balsamic dressing so I still keep the points low. I agree that the entree alone is not enough, try adding a salad, or the zero point soup along with it.

WW points

Hi - when I did WW a few years ago, my range was 18-23 points a day (I was trying to lose 20 lbs, starting around 150)...

you can use the points however you want, but what seemed to work best for me was
breakfast - about 3-4 points (boiled eggs or granola bar 2 pts, and 2pt latte)
lunch - about 6-9 pts (your salad as filler is a great idea)
dinner - 8-12 pts
snacks - 2-4 pts (try carrots, bananas, there is a list of 1-pt snacks floating around the internet somewhere)
