over 45 and not giving up yet

Now that I'm in the dreaded perimenopause, my weight gain has really changed. When I was younger, I could always tell I was putting on weight because my pants got too tight in the butt. That made me cut back. Then about 5 years ago I started putting the extra weight on the top of the hips and waist (where is my waist now anyway?). So I didn't even really notice until suddeny I had an extra 25 lbs. NOw in PT, I've lost 8 - but it's been a long slow haul. And...it doesn't really seem to be coming off my waist that much. I'm not sure where it's coming off (at least its coming off somewhere). Anyone else experiencing this? Will it ever come off my waist? Will I be a muffin top forever?

My problem is in the thighs

I have found that since I turned 40, eight years ago, loosing weight is much more difficult. I have lost 12 lbs. on PT since May but I can't seem to keep the momentum. I tend to slip once I see the scale stop plus I really like food. I don't eat mindlessly, I eat good stuff. I only eat what I like but too much and too often. Anyone have any suggestions to help me get back on track?

menopausal problems

Hi I am in perimenopause and would like to hear from real issues faced by women. Is it possible to maintain your weight. If so how- does it mean additional workouts, more weight exercises. What is an acceptable weight fluctuation. The skin elasticity goes down. Any help in this area as well especially in the face and neck area. Is it possible to be 50s and look 40s? or 30s? haha
