Here in Minnesota, our state fair THRIVES on anything fried and on a stick, like:

deep fried candybars on a stick
deep fried smores on a stick
deep fried allegator on a stick
deep fried veggies on a stick
deep fried fruit on a stick
deep fried waffles on a stick

the list goes on!

Yuck, that makes my stomach hurt just reading that list!!

I'm from MN too and I find the whole State Fair-gluttony parade just appalling! (Though I am a fan of Sweet Martha's cookies!)

That's great! I get sick just walking into the MN fair because the road is slick with oil and food. It just makes me gag. Yes, it's hard to give up those sweet marthas!
