Where to find gluten free food when you're traveling

I almost don't want to leave my general area because I invariably eat something and get knocked out for days. Where can I go when I'm on the road? Is my only choice to bring food with me?

My experience is bringing my own food is the easiest. That, and I try to in advance find health food stores in the area I'm planning on visiting. So far so good. Plus, I usually wind up finding other interesting things in the hfs so that I buy alot and bring it home with me...

Google is great- you can search for a hfs near where you want to be, it will often list the ph # (otherwise use yellowpages online) and then you can use google maps to find the closest one, or how to get to one.
