Slim in 6

the new year is around the corner and i want to step up my exercising to help leave the extra junk in the trunk behind and never see it again.

Has anyone tried the Slim in 6 dvds? did you like it, hate it, didn't work, etc? I'm curious what others thought of the program. I don't have much time to work out, so I want an effective workout in a short period of time.

Thank you!

I've tried it.. Its definately effective if you won't get tired of doing the same workout everyday (well 6 days a week). Actually you do the beginner one for a week, the intermediate for 2 weeks, and the advanced one for 3, the 3 week one is the hardest and longest. You also have to follow the diet guidelines to make it work. I've seen some great results on the message boards from this program, but personally I prefer Turbo Jam, also Project You is a good one I've tried from them. Good luck whatever you choose!

thanks for the info. after researching it more, i am going to have to pass on it. i found out the week 3 and beyond are one hour workouts. unfortunately with two small children, i don't have an hour 6 days a week to devote to working out. i did see they had a similar product only the max was 34 minutes.

do you have other recommendations for a quick, but effective workout?

Slim in 6 is JUNK! I tried it for less than a week. It is effective if you don't get bored easliy. It is all squats, lunges, plies (sp?), etc over and over again. BLAH! no thank you.

If you're a member of NetFlix, you should try getting some exercise DVDs through them - that way you can change your workout every few days if you'd like, and it gives you exposure to a lot of different instructors/programs so you can get a better idea of what works for you.

I did end up buying Slim in 6 maybe 3-4 years ago, but didn't commit to it, from my own fault really. The DVDs were inspiring at the time though, but I wasn't in the right place to lose weight (emotionally). But now, I regret buying the set. The bands were not made very well either....and cost too much for what little you get.
