Please help! Im alone tonight and just baked cookies!

Ok, so i didnt go out tonight so that i could rest up for my 2 hr workout in the gym tomorrow. However, i just baked cookies.............and ate 2! Now, i want the whole batch! I know they will be sitting there until hubby gets home and hopefully eats them all.
What kind of mentality is this??? I am so disgusted with myself and plan on walking my dog later tonight for at least 20 min.
Thoughts, suggestions, advice??? Please.
Thanks!

why don't you set out ONE more on a plate for later, then divvy up the rest into little baggies -- think of several people to give them to (one bag for hubby, one for work, one for thin friend!) and put the rest in the freezer -- under stuff!

and really enjoy that last one -- eat it super slow and concentrate on every bite -- that is far better than mindlessly eating a bunch

Relax - cookies are not evil. You enjoyed a couple, now put them away or give them to a neighbor. Do something nice and healthy for yourself - a bubble bath, do some gentle yoga, or call a friend and chat. Don't be discouraged, we're all in this together!

Good Girl! :-)
The thing is that you recognized the behavior, and came here to log on... Therefore, that's a good step! ;-)

I hope those cookies are bagged up and ready to give away! I wasn't here last evening but another suggestion for a different time. I put cookies in the freezer. They taste different but delicious and they take much longer to eat so I usually only end up eating one. Don't bite into them with your front teeth though! My friend has a cap from doing that.

OP from last night............

Hey girls
Ok I made matter worse by not getting up to go to the gym.....Now i feel awful. i havent had the best eating week.....it was ok, just wasent eating as clean asi normally do. When i did get up , hubby says, " I knew you wouldnt go". God, it made me feel awful!
So, I (still feeling swful), too a 1/2 hr walk with my dog and called around to the ymca and they dont have any group classes today. I am going to call around to a few other gyms and fee if they do. If now, my back up plan it to walk for at least 2 hrs ( 1/2 hr down already).
Ok, im off to be active ........and trying to feel better but its not working..:( UGH, im such a loser! Why didnt i go!??!?!?!?!?!

Hmm, why would you bake cookies knowing you have a problem controlling how many you eat? Get rid of them quickly, right now, throw them out or give them away. I don't keep things in the house that I know will end up breaking me.

OP here.........

im not sure why excately i baked the cookies......i guess i just wanted something sweet. Let me note that I did not bring them into the house, hubby did. I dont NORMALLY keep sweets in the house for this reason.
He has no issuse with his weight and therefore can eat whatever he wants and will sometime bring sweets into the house. I baked them, so I have to deal with the consequesces of eating a few. Im going to be very active today (going for more walks=2 hrs total walking).
PS Im giving the cookies to a very sweet neighbor of mine, so i wont be tempted to eat anymore:)

Yay! That's a wonderful idea and your committment to being active today is admired. You could have chosen to be depressed and eaten more but instead you made a choice to pick yourself back up and do something.

OP HERE.........

Thanks to everyone for the support. I know eating a cookie is not the end of the world, or the end of my eating right but i did feel awful at the time.
Yes, I am an emotional eater, very much so. I just wanted something sweet this time though ;)
I do often eat when im sad or feeling alone though. I am trying to watch this and starting this thred when i felt awful helped alot!
I havent been as active as i wanted to today with my walking due to the cold. I took a 1/2 hr walk and am going for another one , then doing Abs and leg lifts.
Thank you everyone! I truly appreciate you all being here!
