Change in diet and "Aunt Flo"

I have been dieting and exercising for about a month now (exercise started about 5 weeks ago, diet 3 weeks ago). When I started the diet portion I was on my period. Now, three weeks later, I am getting my period 5 days early.
The thing is I am on BC and my cycle has always been regular with this brand. I did take my pill 5 hours late yesterday, but at the regular time today. I have done that before and it never caused me to start.
Also, I am not around any other women enough for my body to be trying to "synch".
The only thing I can think of is my hormones are changing due to improved diet/exercise and possibly overpowering my pill. Has anyone else had any issues like this?

It sounds like you may want to call your gyno, just to be sure. It's not normal to bleed while you are taking the pills, so something else could be up. Your gyno will know if spotting/bleeding are common side effects of the particular brand of bc you are taking.

I noticed the same thing... normal per my gyno. Period changes sometimes :) But you should check with your gyno to be safe.

THE SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED TO ME! This last month I have totally changed my eating habits and work-out routine and my "flo" came 2wks early. And I am on birth control and have never had any problems before. In addition to "flo" coming early, I was also an emotional wreck for that week (ask my husband, it was bad).

It makes me feel better to know that this has happened to someone else.

OP here -
I have been an emotional wreck as well! I am guessing it is PMS, I just have never had it like this before. I tried finishing my pills through the pack rather than "giving in" to the period, but it cotinued to come, just very light.
I have been extra moody, cranky etc. My boyfriend even said "just have your period and get this over with!".
