Is it possible to be allergy free your whole life and then develop allergies?

What causes this? Anyone had any experience with this?

Thanks - I could use a lot of advice here.

yes.

There can be a variety of reasons. Your immune system can change because of various factors, resulting in allergies to things you never reacted to previously.

Or occasionally, your reactions just get worse, and where you once had a problem you attributed to something else, or just ignored, it's now obvious as an allergic reaction.

So in the short answer, absolutely. For the long answer, you'd need to do a lot more research or talk to someone with a med background.

For hay fever type allergies, it can happen if you move. Different parts of the country/world have different plants and pollens. For example, Europe makes me sneeze in early summer but I never have a problem in the mid-Atlantic states where I live.

Absolutely! The older we get the higher the chances we become to developing allergy's and sensitivities to food we were fine with before. And it can happen overnight.
