The Fat Resistance Diet

Just read the book by Leo Galland and I watched him interviewed on TV. It sounds like what I have been going through these past 20+ years with trying to lose the remainder of my weight. I get to a point and cannot lose any more weight but I am still very overweight. I have tried all the suggestions and have had my metabolisim checked. I would like to hear if any of you have tried this diet and if you feel it is making a difference!

Ahh, for years I yo-yoed up and down. My heaviest was 230 and I could never get past 168 when I lost. I finally figured that it was me and not something I wasn't doing. When I got down to 170 again I resolved to increase my cardio and actually increase my calories. My thought was that at 168 my body said enough, this is good, even though it wasn't, so by increasing my calories my metabolism stayed steady and I finally broke through the 168 barrier. I am now down to 137, still have 7 pounds to go. Maybe try upping the calories once you hit that wall.

That's fascinating but I'm not sure that I understand. How much did you increase your calories and cardio?

To the second poster, this is the wildest story. You lost 40 more pounds by increasing your calories? How many? How much cardio did you increase it by? I would love to hear this too!!

Burn the fat, feed the muscle

It is a principle I learned from Tom Venuto's e-book "Burn the fat, feed the muscle". And it really works. Especially when you reach that plateau where you can lose anymore weight with only reduced calories. Your body needs a change to kickstart your metabolism and get it working again. I really recommend the book to anyone - read about it on the link.

Tom Venuto

I just read your link about Tom Venuto's e-book. It costs $39.00 online to get this book (e-mail book) I was wondering if it is really worth the money. I'm tired of putting out money for something that doesn't work. I've tried every diet fad out there and I'm just tired of spending money. Would love your input.

Guys...you are off the subject I asked for comments about! While I appreciate your input you are not talking about this diet. I congratuate you on your success but please stick to the topic...the book and for those who are on this diet and how it is doing. I am not looking for advise but input on those who are doing this diet and/or read the book. Again thanks for your postings but you have gone on a "rabbit trail" I did not ask for.
