Want to be a Size 0?

This group is for average people, slender people, or skinny people who are trying to lose weight. It's so hard when I (113 pounds) tries to give/recieve advice from a 240 pound lady trying to lose weight. Our issues and strategies are nothing alike! This is for people who want to look like the girls in the movies, for people who are OBSESSED with their weight. For people willing to go to the extreme to get the body they have always wanted.

Please, if you are not 100% serious and dedicated, and you are not going to post, please don't join. Being 113 pounds and feeling the need to be skinnier is something only a few people understand. If you don't understand... please don't join.

Is there people that feel ike me??

I weigh 116 pounds and want to lose that last 8 pounds I know how tiny I will be at 108 pounds but I wont be unhealthy........Im only 5,2" so my healthy range is 104 - 134 It is so hard to get there!! Anyone have any advice??

get some therapy if you seriously want to look like girls in the movies and are "willing to go to the extreme" to achieve that goal. you sound obsessed, for sure, but not in a good way. dedication is a lot different than obsession. people with obsessions try to break free of them, generally, because they are disruptive to living one's life freely. this has no bearing on your current size, but is a response to the tone of your opening comments.

The opening comment wasn't mine ........but you quite obviousley dont get it!! I feel comfortable being at my ideal weight which is around 108 pounds there is no difference between someone like yourself trying to lose that last five pounds and someone like me. My BMI is the same as someone at 5,6" weighing 130 pounds. I have a very small frame and an extra 5 pounds on me looks alot different than someone with a different body type.

i am also small-framed and i am not commenting in response to a tiny person wanting to be more fit or whatever. the OP's opeining comments are alarming and red-flag-raising without question. this site is about offering healthy support, not blind support to whoever wants others to back up their unhealthy obsessions, join in their quest (including going to "extremes"), and pretend it's all good. the phrasing and overall tone of the opening open post is scary and deserves a warning to be cautious and seek the advice of a professional. perhaps the professional will not see any cause for alarm, but i see it clearly.

to the 10:45 poster re: the 10:17 poster.

The 10:45 was responding to the tone and words used in the original post. "OBSESSED" and "willing to go to the extreme" are worrysome and indicative of unhealthy behaviour and attitudes about weight loss and body image; this doesn't really have anything to do with healthy BMI targets. I'm glad they said something, cause I noticed it too.

Agreed, 11.01. I'm 5'8, and the weight of a model my height is 135 lbs. And that's within healthy for my height, so I've made that my goal.

BUT, I will NOT go to extremes. Like..not eating... running 60000000 miles to burn every celery stick I put into my mouth...and anything else unhealthy.

You want to be model skinny? Kudos. But remember, models are PRETTY, not always HEALTHY.

hopefully the group is full of nurtitionists who are pretending to have an unhealthy obsession with weight/size and they will try to talk some sense and awareness into the OP. hopefully it is not full of others with the same misconceptions about how to attain the particual size pants they seek. hopefully. if only.

Why would she want to ?? it makes no sense for you to say that being in a group with others like you is what this is about isnt it not about wondering why the 150 pound lady cant be in the group with the 115 pound people who want to lose that last 5 pounds you see!!! i've known several women who started at 150 pounds before they became bulimic / addicted to weight-loss pills/ showed signs of anorexia. once they reached 120 or so, it was "game on" like never before. let me say this, and regard these as words of wisdom, "be careful what you wish for."

this is a serious issue and anyone who thinks otherwise is probably not aware of weight-obsession difficulties and the serious health consequences that can go hand-in-hand with them. not just physiological problems, but mental challenges as well. i am surprised that such a group would be able to openly advertise and exist when their means to an end is "to go to the extreme".

I see nothing wrong with the OP's request. I am a thin, and would love to be in a group with people like me. Thin, dedicated, who don;t slip up and have "bad days" every day, or forget to post evrything they eat. I am "obsessed", you can say, because I have a very specific goal and I am working hard to reach it. Just because someone is thin doesnt mean they don't have a goal. Mine is to achieve muscle definition and sculpt certain areas of my body. I have a specific look in mind. I don't want to just float around in the sea of sorta-kinda-wanna-lose-weight people that I seem to see on PT all the time.

it has nothing to do with the size that the OP wishes to fit into or how much the OP wants to weigh and the issue of the stressed "obsession" and going "to the extreme" and any means possible to lose weight in order to physically resemble skinny actresses is not the same as being dedicated to logging your food or wanting to have more muscle defintion. being thin and wanting to be thinner is not the point. it's the level of importance that seems to be placed upon achieving a particualr size in clothing, at any cost.

I can understand the OP as well. She may have used some powerful words that were misinterpreted, or she may really have a problem. From such a short post, it's hard to understand.

I am 5'1", 113lbs, and wear a size 0 at many stores. I am not skinny. I have wide hips and big boobs (D-cup), and fairly muscular thighs, but small bones. I thought about joining the OP's group, b/c I would still like to lose about 5lbs or so. But, I know I'm not a dedicated daily logger, and I slip up pretty often, and I'm not ready yet to fully commit to losing those last 5lbs. So I did not join.

If she had just posted "want to be a size 0? Already thin but want to lose 5lbs more? Join my group." I would've joined. But, I'm not who she's looking for, so I didn't.

if the posting had been stated as above, it would not have raised any red flags for me. it's almost like the OP is subconsciously reaching out for help. like how some depressed people talk about suicide in an offhanded way. when a person publicly engages in dangerous behaviour, it usually means there is something going on that the person fears sharing openly, but the survival instinct can kick in and provide subtle clues.

Thanks to the encouragement from the 1:56pm poster! I've been in groups for "losing the last 5 lbs" before, and it is great, I agree. I've gone from 127 lbs to 113 lbs since being here. Right now, though, losing 5 more just isn't all that important to me. I'd like to, but if I never do, I don't really care. I just don't want to gain back what I've lost. And I've maintained for 6 months now, so hopefully I've figured it out. Right now, I wear a size 0 in khakis from J. Crew. I like J. Crew khakis. If I lose more, I won't be able to wear them anymore! Things like that make me not care about losing the weight.

Maybe in a few months, I'll join/start a group for people who are motivated. For now, I'm not motivated. I like getting to splurge (obviously within reason), and I already get to enjoy my smaller body!

It's really sad that the name of their group is "WannaBSkinNBones"!!!! I hope PT monitors this. For any women who puts their obsession with squeezing into size 0 pants over her long term health, please google "osteoporosis" and "fatty liver" and see what you may be in for. You may not care about this now but if you live to see 40, you will regret the choices you're making now if you choose to malnourish the only body you'll ever get.

9:24, 8:57 here. Of course you would. However, it is ridiculous to me for someone to ask if you would like to on the very end of the spectrum and unhealthily and unattractively thin. Of course, there are petite women who can be size 0s and still healthy. But for the majority of women, being a size 0 is equally unhealthy to being plus size. Starving your organs is a steep price to pay to feel like you look like a celebrity. And by the way, they probably got that way from doing coke.

A lot of the women in this thread who say they want to be a size 0 have also said that they are short. When you figure in vanity sizing, a size 0 is not unreasonable for many women, probably almost any who are about 5'4" or less (5'4" happens to be average height for a woman in the US), and have a small bone structure and not a huge amount of muscle mass.

I'm 5'1", or maybe 5'2", and although I'm thin, I could use to lose about another 5lbs of fat from my midsection and thighs. If I lost 10, I still wouldn't look like a sack of bones. I have a decent amount of muscle, but it's not overly bulky. I'm wearing a skirt today that's a size 1 from Old Navy (a few years old, so not even quite up to today's extreme vanity sizing, but still some.) It fits perfectly. I'm a size 0 at J. Crew. Size 0's are just a little bit too tight on me from Banana, but not much. I have size 2 jeans from the Gap that are getting too big, and have to go through the dryer to shrink after every wear. And, no one would ever look at me and call me skinny.

What's wrong with a 6? That's my extremely HEALTHYYYYYYY goal at a height of 5'8/5'9 Instead of worrying about what size your body fits into, why don't you make healthier goals?

Ex. My healthy weight range is "xa to xb" I'll aim for 5lbs above xa, if I want to be on the thinner end.

Ex. I'm going to add weight resistance to my usual workout and tone up a lot more. My body will be less flabby.

Ex. I will give up soda.

Ex. Ex. Ex.

You get it.

I am currently a size 0-2, and I definitely have some weight to lose around my thighs. If I were a size 6 I would look overweight. I am thin and slender and in shape, but I'm not a stick figure. I agree with 2:10.....a lot of smaller, petite women would appear to be on the bigger side if they were a size 6. I do agree that the original poster seems obsessed and unhealthy in a bad way, but I think other people need to understand that a size 6 for smaller women (I'm 5'2'') is pretty large.

Im also a size 2 and if I were a size 6 I would honestley just look chubby because of my body type im 5'2" and small framed being a size 0 for me is realistic it may not be for alot of other women but thats why we have different groups and teams to join ti find the "right Fit"

fyi: there are many, many groups dedicated to and made up of smaller framed people who are looking to a) lose more weight, b) get more defined/toned, c) find others who understand that being small doesn't mean you have no body image issues. the point of contention in this particular thread is primarily the tone of the OP's opening statements. there is a desperation, an admitted obsession, an unhealthy fixation present in the OP's comments. going to extremes to achieve that celebrity body is not comparable to wanting to lose 5 pounds. the issue is not the OP's size, but rather the attitude behind the need to become tiny.

"Extreme" may mean different things to different people. You can;t say she has a problem just becasue she said that. In all truth, it pretty much does take "extemes" t get into a perfect shape. I'm not talking about just loing the last 5 , i'm talking about being fit, toned, muscular, and thin. Not having bulges anywhere. Yes, it takes a lot of work, dedication, and it is pretty darn extreme.

So don't judge. Just because you take the easy road and are okay with pouches in certain areas, doesnt mean someone else has to be too.

WHERE DO YOU COME UP WITH THAT CONCLUSION? you start off by saying not to judge, then go on speculating about some unseen stranger's size and the dedication level of that person and assume that that person is trying to dissuade others from getting in better shape?! if i am fat, are you surprised that there are fat people on a weight-loss support site? the OP's comments are not the typical, "i'm very dedicated and always give my complete effort." they are red-flag raising . people who don't recognize that may be in need of some guidance themselves.

I think a size 0 is extremely unrealistic for my height and bone structure. So I'd be overjoyed to get back down to a 14 or 12. And if I made it to size 10, that would be perfect. I'm 5'8" tall and I have medium to large bone structure. Aiming for anything smaller than a 10 just wouldn't work for me. If I made it, I'd most certainly be unhealthy.

But for those who are shorter than I am, with smaller bone structure, 0 may not be unrealistic. Just please be sure to eat healthy nourishing foods. Don't starve yourself or take exercising to the unhealthy extreme. Do it well, with a life long health goal in mind and you'll be fine.

Yes, I am fat. And no, I don't hate skinny people.

Want to be 103!

I currently weigh 110 pounds, i am 21 years old and 5'4" tall. I think the 'ideal' range for my height starts at like... 108 or so. I'm dying to be 103. That is the magic number. I just need to lose these last 7 pounds!! I eat between 900-1100 calories a day usually. I know people will say that i'm not fat for my height, but seriously.. i feel disgusting. i can see that 7 pounds on my body, for some reason i just know that when i'm 103 i'll KNOW i'm thin.. and won't have to feel unsure anymore. does anybody have any helpful tips on good foods to eliminate from my diet? or anything to really step up my metabolism to help push through this last plateau?

Anyone who makes it a goal to be below the healthy range has issues. It's basically attention seeking behavior. If you're BELOW the range, then people will fall all over you saying how skinny you are and how envious they are of you, and that's just sad. Separate yourself from others by your actions, not by how you look. Everyone who comes to this site wants to look better, that's true, but striving to be underweight has no place here.

You guys are seriously on a weightloss website making fun of fat people.... Fat people don't hate you and you probably don't hate them. But seriously, to some people, you may be the fat one. It's all in the eye of the beholder. Fat people just hate being judged by people that don't understand thier struggle. I'm sure the skinny people don't like being judged for bigger women not understanding thier issues either. On that note...

I am a size zero. Or, at least, I'm wearing pants today that are a size 0. Khakis from J. Crew, in case anyone is interested. And they fit perfectly, other than that I had to have them hemmed (and they're "short" style to start with!) And I have other pants that are zeros too, and some that are 2's.

I also have boobs that are a 32DD (naturally), and a very distinct waist-to-hip ratio.

I'm also 5'1".

I most definitely look like a woman with curves. If you saw me walking down the street, you wouldn't think that I'm fat, but you definitely wouldn't think that I'm too thin. But, I'm definitely a zero, or maybe a 2. (Thanks, vanity sizing!)

So, please stop referring to all people who wear small sizes as stick-like, waif-like, etc. I am not anorexic. I am well within the "normal" BMI range. I am not underweight. I don't lack muscle definition or curves.

I have pics in my profile if you want to see for yourself - jilli10582. Though, I think the bikini pic was about 3 to 5 lbs heavier than I am now.

See, when I worked retail, 8 years ago, it was simple. A size 24" waist was a size 4. 26" was a size 6. 28" a size 8, etc.

No offence to the PP, but to fit into a size 0 with a 27" waist is utterly ridiculous. (Obviously, the fault of manufacturers, not you).

i understand where you are coming from but goint to the "EXTREME" is not the best way to become Y O U R perfect size 0. You shouldn't say a 250 lb. lady can't relate. I'm sure she can. Yea she might not be your size 5 wanna be size 0 but she does understand your struggle and pain for that "perfect" size 0. Women in movies are gorgeous but that doesn't make them the perfect role model.

Oh and I don't know if this is true but I read in like a really really really old Seventeen magazine that girls/women who are obsessed with their weight and constantly weigh themselves can stress out there bodies and actually gain weight. So being obsessed isn't all that good, but maybe caustious

PP, how tall are you? If you are 5'1" or taller 98 pounds is considered underweight on the BMI scale. So until we know your height it will be hard for us to help for fear of encouraging an eating disorder.

I think this discussion is really crazy! I was thinking I was reading a hoax...I just couldnt believe this was actually a person posting this (OP). I am WAY overweight and this thread has made me feel horrible. This community is about pulling together to be healthy and we all USUALLY care deeply for one another. I am very disappointed in this whole thing. My feelings are hurt wondering what you girls must think of me....I am sad.

I think this discussion is really crazy! I was thinking I was reading a hoax...I just couldnt believe this was actually a person posting this (OP). I am WAY overweight and this thread has made me feel horrible. This community is about pulling together to be healthy and we all USUALLY care deeply for one another. I am very disappointed in this whole thing. My feelings are hurt wondering what you girls must think of me....I am sad.

I think many of you girls need help. It is scary to have an eating disorder. Your health is at risk and it will catch up to you later in your life. When I was 21 I starved myself and lost about 50 lbs. I was running a few miles a day and then going in and doing an hour of tae bo. I was running on about 4 or 500 calories a day. About a month after I reached my goal...which was 130 (5 ft 8 and big boned) I was underweight according to my doctor. Well long story short I ended up with Gall stones in my gall bladder at the age of 21. The doctors first question was "are you starving yourself...??"
Bad things can happen if you try to lose weight too fast or if you lose too much weight ....

I think most people had a problem with the "240 pound lady trying to lose weight" comment. I think she wanted to find a group with people who had similar body types/weights to start and going towards the same goal.

We are all on a site for weight loss... we log everyday... and yet some of us have been on here for years and haven't got to the point they want. I/We are obsessed, we just didn't say it like this person did.

A question to November 03, 2008, 7:20 PM. How do we talk about these issues, though?

Regardless of our weight, I think we're all at different points in our journey. Sometimes we *can* all work together and support each other. Sometimes we can't, as our various issues can get in the way.

I don't see anything wrong with seeking out people who are at similar points in their journeys.

I'm on a team where I think we work pretty well together.

But here's a case where a former good friend and I finally just couldn't mesh and it had to do with our "incompatible" (for lack of a better word) weights:

I once had an friend who weighed significantly more than I, who I tried to support to no end.... She once visited my home and saw my Prevention magazines lying around (no, not Shape nor Self nor Oxygen nor Women's Health, but everything-in-moderation Prevention magazine). And she practically freaked out on me: "YOU read PREVENTION magazine??? What do you need THAT for???" I was quite taken aback at her attitude, which pretty much said to me "You don't need any help. You're thinner than I am." I came back at her with "Screw that. I need help to stay in a healthy weight range." I finally realized after numerous similar comments that she just didn't want to get that and she just didn't want to get me. It was if I didn't deserve support or encouragement because we weren't at the same levels. I was plenty hurt by that. Just because someone weighs less or is thinner doesn't mean that they don't struggle. Perhaps that is type of situation that the OP is addressing.

I think encouraging people who are "average, slender or skinny" to LOSE weight is unhealthy and dangerous. If they want to do that to themselves, that is their decision, but that isn't what this site should be about. It should be about people trying to be healthier and reaching/maintaining a healthy weight. There are impressionable young people on this site, and people who are obviously trying to be unhealthily skinny, and encouraging others to do the same, should be banned.

I wanted to comment on that post, too.

I think many of us are here to be "skinny" or healthy or whatever we want. It's not anyone's place to judge our goals as "unhealthy," especially if they don't know our specific circumstances.

Also, should the overweight who succeed here be banished once they've reached their goals? I vote "NO!"

PP, you clearly haven't read the whole thread. It's not so much the wanting to be skinny, it's the obsessing over it, and the eating disorder to get to it that no one wants to support, and everyone wants to judge harshly.

Anyone who says live and let live, then goes on to cast judgment is a hypocrit.

To the previous poster who assumed I haven't read this thread:

I did read through the whole thread and posted here at least once before.

You're judging the OP as obsessive. I am not. I would never want to be a size 0, because I'm nowhere naturally near that.

However, some people might be naturally size 0's, including the OP, as they might have the body frame for it, the metabolism for it, etcetera.

Their Size 0 could easily be my Size 8, and healthily so.

A lot of people need to remember what seems healthy and average to them may seem not so average to others. If I weight 160 pounds, 140 seems healthy and average, but to someone at 120 pounds 140 may seem like a little overweight depending on height and frame.
I think for the most part the majority of people know what is healthy for their body type. If they think a size 0 is within the healthy range than by all means ladies go for it. It's not fair to assume they are unhealthy.

It's really all about how you FEEL! It's not even necessarily an obsession. I am at a "healthy" weight according to BMI and weight charts. I'm 5ft 2 and weigh 121 (range on those charts states 110 to 134 is healthy) but I've been 115 and FEEL better at that weight. Just those few pounds on my shorter frame makes a difference and I don't believe that is unhealthy, physically OR mentally. I'm a size 4 and never intend to be a size zero, I just want to be a size ME, one that I'm comfortable with, not what a chart says, not even what the scale says. Just what makes me feel good about me.

Technically, as a model it's your job to look good. Unfortunately society today equates skinny with looking good...

I still maintain that encouraging people to be unhealthily thin is reckless, and shouldn't be allowed on this site. Size zero is fine for some people and isn't necessarily unhealthy, but people essentially saying "I'm skinny but I want to be REALLY skinny by not eating, who's with me?" is not good. We should be promoting healthy weightloss. For the record, I'm 5'4" and 116lbs, so I'm not overweight.

I realize that this is an old thread, but I'm surprised to see this kind of thread on PT. Apparently a lot of people on this site don't read the articles about being healthy and instead want to go to extremes and make themselves sick just to brag about being a size "0" Being emaciated is nothing to be proud of.

When your BMI is 19 - stop! If you still feel overweight just try toning up - not starving yourself. You will make yourself sick! Also, talk to a doctor, personal trainer or a nutritionist to see if the pro's think you need to lose any more weight - a second opinion is gold! If you are a size 2 and think you are fat perhaps there are other issues going on that need to be addressed.

Anyway, please don't spread this kind of unhealthy philosophy on a site like PT that is trying to build healthy people. Take it to some other site. You are apparently missing the point of PT entirely.

PS - Most Hollywood actresses are NOT a size 0. Ever heard of camera tricks?

PP - Please don't take this as an attack. I'm concerned by your post.
Being 5'9" and weighing 110 pounds would give you a BMI of 16. That is EXTREMELY unhealthy and can lead to all kinds of health problems. Even at 127 pounds you are considered at the lowest end of a healthy weight for that height.

You shouldn't lose any weight and should try to maintain the weight you have now. I seriously think you should talk to a doctor so he/she can explain to you that your goals are unhealthy and show you some of the repercussions of being dangerously underweight. I'm very concerned that you want to be so skinny, and I'm going to jump to conclusions and ask if you have a history of eating disorders. You could be putting your life in jeopardy.

Why does size matter?

I'm always surprised when I read in a PT member's profile things like:

"I'm dying to fit into a size 6!!!" or
"My goal waist is 24 inches!"

Hell, I've even seen:

"I want to look like I'm wearing a corset without one on!!"

Why does it matter what size pants you're wearing? Seriously, isn't it more important that they FIT WELL? And make you feel and look nice? Who cares what the number on the frackin' tag is? Is anyone going to be looking? No, only you. And the fact that people care so much is very sad.

I'm 5'7 and my heaviest weight was 295lbs. I've lost 66.5lbs and I feel fantastic. I want to be at a healthy weight for a woman my height, which for me is a healthy goal of 150lbs. I want to put on a pair of jeans and think my butt looks outstanding! And whether that happens in a size 12 or a size 8, I'll be happy.

Then again, maybe I'm "too fat to understand skinny people's issues" as some previous posters have mentioned.

For some it could be an emotional tie to that number. They were once a size '6 or a 24 inch waist', they remember how much they loved how they looked at that size - they aspire to be it again.

I totally agree with you.I am also 113 pounds I mean its a healthy weight and all but I use to be a size 1 and 0 all of a sudden I grew a lot.Its not an obsession its more just of a goal.I am a perfectionist in everything including my body.I am just dedicated to looking perfect.I am not obssesed at all I dont have a food disorder I eat perfectly healthy and I alo excersice its just that its so hard for me to be at my goal weight of 105 lbs..I'm 5"3' by the way.

Being really thin

Hmm.. I might be that 150 lb lady, actually, I weigh 145 lb and am 5'6' and 60 years old.. However, I did weight 105 lbs at one point, when I was 25 years... I liked the way I looked.. and thought about my weight all of the time.. I mean, I was always looking at myself in mirror and buying clothes. Well, it didn't last long.. maybe a year.. The way I did it was travel to India overland with little money.. and then walk alone in Nepal for a month.. that really took off the weight.. When I got home some people were shocked.. cause I looked so thin.. but I liked it..

You've probably come to a stop because you are on the low end of your healthy weight, and you will have to push your body a bit harder to lose those last few pounds. The less you weigh the longer it takes to lose weight.

Try increasing your cardio. Or instead of trying to lose weight, try and increase your muscle tone instead. If you put on a little muscle mass you will burn fat faster and you will be leaner - even if you don't lose any actual pounds on the scale - because muscle weighs more than fat.

i'm goin to try exercising rather than dieting alone
i have lost 28 pounds in total now so not far to go
i read i have probably come to a stop as my calorie intake has gone so low my body has gone into starvation mode!

my top half is alot smaller than my bottom half also, any tips how to even this out????

I know how you feel

I've lost about 10 pounds from 125 and am now currently 115. My lowest was 110. I want to see the scale move, but no matter what I do, nothing works >_<. I hate food. I desperately want to lose the last 15 pounds so that I'll be slim and gorgeous

seems to me that there are some peeps on PT who are trying to get really skinny... like... unhealthy skinny! Be careful. Obsession can turn into an eating disorder very quickly. I've seen it plenty times...
And chicks with eating disorders are NOT COOL. I know because i've worked with many. They're constantly depressed and thier bodies dont function normally.

Be healthy! Not crazy. Your body will thank you plenty when you're older.

I feel the same way too !!!!

I used to be 100lbs and 5 foot 6 inches. I have not grown, but have gained 4lbs. I feel disgusted every time I look in the mirror. I know I have gained weight i can see it on the scale and in my clothing because everything fits tight. I want to be a size zero again, I want to be 100lb again. Please help !!!!

As she said, if you can't relate, don't comment here. We are girls who are totally aware of how healthy or not healthy this idea image is. We want it all. We've heard all the "self acceptance" speeches and "you need therapy" comments. Most likely, we've had experience with counselors or doctors. We already know it. If you don't like the group, please go away and leave the obvious "That's not healthy" comments out.

Whatever. I bet most the women here would love to be a size zero if they were anywhere close to obtaining it. I'm also short, 5'2. Our weight range is 108-134. It is not unusual for a fit 5'2 gal to be a size 0. We want to look our best. Yup, it is a little obsessive, but many people here are obsessed with their weight. That's the point. She said what many won't say. I commend her. She isn't saying she wants to go below 108 down to 98 and then 88 and then 78. She wants to be at the end of her weight range. Who doesn't?

Right on. You could join, but I think the girl who started the thread knows that when you have less to lose, you lose weight slower than heavier people. Also, it seems that heavier people have healthier focused goal weights. They concentrate on just being healthy at first and reaching a weight that may be skinny to them, but not to people who are already fit and want to lose "vanity weight." If you weigh 150, and this is overweight for your height, your first goal may be to reach 125. After that, then you may want to start reaching for that size 0 goal. (vanity weight loss) I think the original poster of this thread was looking for people in a similar weight range who may need to lose less weight. (anywhere from 5 to 20 pounds).

I feel like a fat size "zero"

I am 15 years old
I I'm 5ft 5
I am 118 pounds
According to my measurements (31-24-32) Wikipedia says I am within the range for a size zero ( for me that's a uk size 4) however I really don't see how I can be that size, size zero is associated with people who are anorexic and look like skeletons, neither of those are me. I eat healthy foods(usually) and do a good amount of exercise but I defiantly don't look like a skeleton (I wouldn't want to) all I really want is so shed a bit of flab around my thies and arms and then I would want to stay around my weight cause above all want to stay healthy (which I feel I am at the moment) so I really don't see how Icahn be anything like a size zero

I'm 5'6 and 116 lbs. 116 in my eyes isn't a weight that looks best on me. I train whenever I have time at home, at the gym, wherever. I'm also 16 years old. I feel more comfortable in the range of 108-110lbs. I'm very fit but am currently trying to lose to go back down to the 108/110 range. I'm also looking to lower my body fat around 11/12, currently I think it's around there but I have to check to make sure. I vary between a 0 and a 00 depending on the brand.
