Understanding the Fat Smash vrs. Extreme Fat Smash Diet

Maybe some members here are familiar with the Fat Smash plan. I quit waiting for my library to find the book and went to buy it at Barnes and Noble. Ended up with Fat Smash (with its four Phases ) and, by the same author, Extreme Fat Smash (which had three cycles.) I thought someone familiar with Fat Smash could help me understand how they relate to one another? What is the difference between the two plans? Thanks

I've done the Extreme Fat smash and that one if for folks that don't have as much to lose or have hit a plateau. You have a little more leeway with your food choices (but not much) and the exercise is much more intense than that of which is required for the Fat Smash diet. However, there is a team on PT that is specifically for this Fat Smash diet and some members follow EFS so they may be able to answer more questions than I can. Just go to teams and look for fat smash and join them. They have a lot of recipes, helpful FAQ's, etc that may assist you.

I have a question also. I was considering trying the fat smash diet, but read a bunch of negative reviews online, and not so many good ones. It made me rather leery. So in real life does this diet work?

Fat Smasher Talks

I started Fat Smash in June - Dropped 35 lbs by October1st and have kept it off to date. I'm in the group you mentioned - Check us out - Fat Smashers Unite.

Fat Smash is the brainchild of Dr. Ian Smith of Celebrity Fit Club fame and also check out www.50millionpounds.com for more Dr. Ian insight and tips. The link at the bottom is the article here on PT that describes Phase 1 of the original Fat Smash.

I have tried EFS but went back to FS because it's very regimented and my schedule doesn't allow me to follow it that closely. The original is controlled by you - EFS plans your meals and your exercise for you. Agree with 5:03 - good plan for plateaus or minimal losses. In fact, I probably need to switch to that to get past the hump I'm on and drop these last 12 lbs.

If you can't find the books in the store - try Amazon or a similar online site. They are cheap enough to buy both and they have great info in them.

This is the first plan that I have done that I feel like I can eat what I want, when I want without counting calories and points or measuring all the time.

There will always be people to say negative things and people that it won't work for but with hard work and dedication, you can meet your goals. I can't say enough good about this plan. I've never been as successful as I have with this one.

Check it out! : )
