Anyone in a wheelchair trying to lose weight?

Im not saying Im special but well, guess I am in a "shortbus" way. People in wheelchairs cannot lose weight at 1200 calories a day. That is actually causing weight gain due to the inactivity. Walking around a house just burns it up compared to a few strokes of arms in the chair. I was just wondering if there is anyone else out there that is trying to do this from a wheelchair like myself. We have some rather complicated issues and well...its some hard work.

TOTALLY GET IT

I am in a chair as well, have been for 17yrs, it would be great to chat with someone in the same boat. It is hard having a support system that consists of people who are capable of doing plenty of exercises like running.

Can we start a group just for us? I've been in a power wheelchair for 8 years and recently got a rolling walker so I can try to walk a little bit on the days when I might be in a little less pain. With the hope that maybe I can one day walk without them (very positive thinking). But I still sit most of the time and I can't do much exercise other than stretching on my shower seat or lifting some light hand weights on occasion. On a really, really good day I can vacuum a room, but I do that sitting in the chair so it's just my arms getting the workout.

I'm the 8:24 poster and I just created a group for us called Losing Weight With Wheelchair Challenges. I don't know how to invite just the OP and other person who replied to the original question. Or how to provide a link to the group. So please look for it in Groups.

Camille, I'm very frightened for your health if you are water fasting for 20 days. Unless you have a serious medical issue and doctors have told you not to consume anything but water, you are risking your health and well being. Maybe even your life.

At 5' tall and 95 lbs, you are not anywhere near overweight. My daughter-in-law is 5' tall and weighs 112 lbs, and she looks perfectly height/weight proportionate. It is very likely that your thighs and buttocks are larger than you'd like due to inactivity and loss of muscle tone. Possibly loss of muscle itself.

Those of us who are (or have been) confined to a wheelchair and can't do physical exercise cannot expect to reduce the size of our thighs and butts by simply not eating food. I urge you to see a physician and a dietitian as soon as possible. They can check to be sure you haven't caused any serious damage to yourself, and they can help you with meal plans for your specific situation. If appropriate, they could even help get you into some type of physical therapy to help tone, tighten or re-build muscle.

Anyone in a wheelchair trying to lose weight

Really impressed with the discussion going on about the spirit to lose weight especially in the wheelchair. but at the same time fasting to water may not be a good choice. having a balanced sleep time is also very necessary for better performance of body metabolism. thanks to https://buymodafinilonline.com/smart-drugs/modafresh-200-mg-tablets/ it helped me a lot to treat my problem of sleepiness. I was not a patient of epilepsy ever that's why my practitioner adjusted my sleep with varying dosage of this and I have found it very effective.

construction

Basically, we found all the technologies created by Omega, including the Co-Axial escapement and the fully anti-magnetic construction, with all the major parts made in silicon (balance wheel, escapement wheel and pallet, hairspring) or in non-magnetic metals (for the plates and bridges).

Education

Providing coursework help is actually an extraordinary inspiration for different organizations, educators, and the understudies to encourage them to do such exercises. The blessing of their countenances is the best communicating assurance and consistency. We really value them for this significant work.
