Goal
I am doing a "Lose the Bird" challenge (Lose weight equal to the weight of your Thanksgiving turkey). My goal is to lose that last 13 lbs, and I'm giving myself 130 days (Oct. 14, 2015 through Feb.21, 2016). That is 1 lb every 10 days, which will require a calorie deficit of 800 per day.

Running Events Done:
37 5ks in 20 states
24 10ks in 19 states
32 half marathons in 25 states
28 marathons in 28 states
(17 State "Bingos")


my notes
I'm avoiding the scale, because I'm eating like crap and not exercising at all! I will face the music in a few days.

Speaking of music, I will go to the state music contest tomorrow for two of my students. It's a five-hour road trip, round trip. I'm looking forward to it. I always enjoy going to state. Having a day off work is nice. When you work six days a week, it's especially nice.

Next week, I'll probably have another day (or more) off work, unpaid, because of jury duty. I'm not sure how I feel about that -- I guess it depends on what it involves. I'll find out. Maybe I'll get rejected right away.

Today is my 650th birthday (measured in months), so I'm having brunch with an old friend, and I plan to eat pie in celebration. It might be most of my food for the day. I did not go to the grocery store yet this week -- I'll probably go late tonight, or after I get back from state tomorrow.
