Goal
Weight goal for 2013 - pounds in the 130's (reward @ 130: tattoo). Please?

Yes - all meat and fish, eggs, vegetables, fats/oils, coffee/tea, coconut/nut milks

Limit - beets, butternut squash, pumpkin, nuts/seeds (only raw), sweet/white potatoes, winter squash (acorn, delicata, kabocha), fruit, dairy, alcohol

No - refined sugars, all grains, beans, refined carbohydrates, juice, rice/oat milks, soda, soy, bottled dressing, corn

Eating a bunch of food, even the good-for-me kinds, is still eating a lot of food.


my notes
No Nut Butters: Day 2

Sleep: 8 (w. minor disruptions) Feeling pretty well-rested.

Still very sore. LONG and STRESSFUL workday ahead.

Dug out a jacket from the depths of my closet that was quite snug a year ago. It fits nice today. This is a reminder that even though I make missteps sometimes, I am moving in the right direction.

3pm: mid-afternoon crash during meeting#1

Thoughts- I am SO proud of myself for denying pizza at tonight's meeting/training. It looked incredibly good. I did have some snacks when I got home, but I was hungry and it wasn't much. Also. I should be careful of my dried apricot intake. It has steadily been increasing.

9pm: Shoot. So much for my nut butter detox. I had been resisting and resisting, but gave in to peanut butter Well, there's no more now. So that's good. A message to myself: DO NOT BUY MORE.

25-minute walk to coffee/bus stop


breakfast
9:30am: piece of goat's milk cheddar, chard/kale/red onion/garlic (cooked w. coconut oil), 3 pieces bacon, 1 dried apricot w. unsweetened chocolate, 8 oz black coffee (throughout day)


lunch
12:45pm: salad: red cabbage, red onion, 1 soft-boiled egg, olive tapanade, 1/2 can salmon


snacks
4:45pm: little salad: mixed greens, pea shoots, red onion, 1 chicken sausage in slices, <1/4 green apple chopped, balsamic/o.o.


dinner
6-7:30pm: Leading a training/meeting at work. I fear my supervisor will order a pizza. I asked her to order a salad as well. Eek.

Update: Just a very small portion salad. Sadly, dressing was already in the mix.

8pm: 2 bites salmon, 12 dried apricots, chunk goat's milk cheddar, unsweetened chocolate, little raw walnut pieces

- I got home feeling a little hungry. I could have eaten just half of this and be fine. But you know how that goes. Also, too many dried apricots!!!

9pm: too much (unsalted, natural) peanut butter, 3 more dried apricots, 5 chocolate chips

And then...
I was sleepy and after the peanut butter, I just didn't care anymore: 3 salami discs, 1/4 avocado, 1/4 can tuna w. butter, sliced almonds, tamarind
